Cloud Monitor:Manage alert rules

Last Updated:Nov 10, 2025

You can create, view, modify, delete, enable, and disable alert rules for an application group.

Background information

After you select an application group, you can view only the alert rules applied to the application group, not the alert rules applied to a specific instance or all resources.

Create an alert rule

  1. Log on to the Cloud Monitor console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Cloud Resource Monitoring > Application Groups.

  3. On the Application Groups tab, click the name of the application group.

  4. In the left-side navigation pane, click Alert Rules.

  5. Click Create Alert Rule.

  6. In the Create Alert Rule panel, specify Product and configure the following parameters: Rule Description, Mute Period, Effective Period, Alert Contact Group, Alert Callback, and Method to handle alerts when no monitoring data is found.

Set the Push Channel parameter based on your business requirements:

    • If you turn on Auto Scaling, you need to set the Region, ESS Group, and ESS Rule parameters. When an alert is triggered, the application group is scaled based on the specified scaling rule.

    • If you turn on Simple Log Service, you need to set the Region, ProjectName, and Logstore parameters. When an alert is triggered, the alert information is written to the specified Logstore in Simple Log Service.

    • If you turn on Simple Message Queue (formerly MNS) - Topic, you need to set the Region and topicName parameters. When an alert is triggered, the alert information is pushed to Simple Message Queue (formerly MNS) (SMQ).

    • If you turn on Function Compute, you need to set the Region, Service, and Function parameters. When an alert is triggered, the alert information is pushed to Function Compute.
