Cloud Firewall:[Announcement] Automatic service disabling mechanism of Cloud Firewall that uses the pay-as-you-go billing method

Last Updated:Dec 28, 2023

Dear Alibaba Cloud users,

To provide better service capabilities, Cloud Firewall that uses the pay-as-you-go billing method supports a disabling mechanism. If no asset is added to your Cloud Firewall that uses the pay-as-you-go billing method for 30 consecutive days, including Internet-facing assets and internal-facing assets, Cloud Firewall disables the Internet Firewall or NAT Firewall feature on the 31st day. Other related modules are restored to the initial status. The mechanism does not affect your business.

Description

Cloud Firewall that uses the pay-as-you-go billing method automatically synchronizes assets and checks whether assets are added in real time. If the system detects that no asset is added to your Cloud Firewall that uses the pay-as-you-go billing method for 30 consecutive days, the system sends notifications. Cloud Firewall can send this type of notifications from December 14, 2023.

If no asset is added to your Cloud Firewall for 30 consecutive days, Cloud Firewall automatically disables the Internet Firewall or NAT Firewall feature. Other related modules are restored to the initial status. You can re-enable the modules based on your business requirements. For more information, see How to re-enable the Internet Firewall or NAT Firewall feature.
