Checks whether the auto-renewal feature is enabled for each subscription Elastic Compute Service (ECS) instance. If the feature is enabled, the evaluation result is Compliant.
Scenarios
Compared with manual renewal, auto-renewal helps reduce management costs and prevent your services on ECS instances from being interrupted when the ECS instances fail to be renewed.
Risk level
Default risk level: medium.
When you apply this rule, you can change the risk level based on your business requirements.
Compliance evaluation logic
- If the auto-renewal feature is enabled for each subscription ECS instance, the evaluation result is Compliant.
- If the auto-renewal feature is disabled for each subscription ECS instance, the evaluation result is Incompliant. For more information about how to remediate an incompliant configuration, see Incompliance remediation.
- This rule does not apply to pay-as-you-go ECS instances.
