Evaluates whether each Elastic Compute Service (ECS) data disk retains automatic snapshots upon release. The configuration is compliant if automatic snapshot retention is enabled.
Scenarios
Configure an automatic snapshot policy to retain automatic snapshots when an ECS data disk is released. This ensures data can be restored if a disk is accidentally released. You can delete individual automatic snapshots when they are no longer needed.
Risk level
Default risk level: low.
You can change the risk level based on your business requirements.
Compliance evaluation logic
- If each ECS data disk is configured to retain automatic snapshots upon release, the configuration is compliant.
- If any ECS data disk is not configured to retain automatic snapshots upon release, the configuration is noncompliant. For more information, see Incompliance remediation.
