Cloud Box:Object Storage Service billing

Last Updated:Apr 01, 2026

Object Storage Service (OSS) on CloudBox delivers local storage, access, and processing of unstructured data — keeping data and compute within your on-premises environment. When you order a cloud box, you specify the OSS storage capacity to match your workload requirements.

Billing

OSS storage is billed using this formula:

Fees = Storage capacity x Unit price x Subscription duration

Check the unit price for your configuration in the CloudBox console.

Capacity

ConstraintValue
Minimum purchase54 TiB
Scaling step22 TiB
Maximum capacity1,022 TiB

Subscription duration

OSS resources use yearly subscriptions. For your first CloudBox order, the initial term must be either three or five years.

Included at no extra charge

CloudBox supports only the Standard storage class. OSS API calls and traffic carry no additional charges. Internet access to OSS resources is not supported.

Payment

OSS fees are bundled with all other resources in the same cloud box order and paid together using the subscription billing method. Two payment options are available:

  • All Upfront: Pay the full amount at the time of purchase.

  • Half Upfront: Pay 50% at the time of purchase, then pay the remaining balance in equal monthly installments.

After you accept the cloud box, Alibaba Cloud generates bills on the first day of each month based on the remaining unpaid balance and subscription duration. Each monthly bill is the same amount. Pay outstanding bills within seven calendar days of receipt — if you do not pay the bills within seven calendar days after you receive them, your cloud box cannot provide services normally.
