We recommend that you view and handle the alerts reported from a disaster recovery site in a timely manner. This way, you can quickly switch business to the disaster recovery site and use the latest data to restore business if a disaster occurs. This topic describes how to view the recovery point objective (RPO) monitoring data and alerts of a disaster recovery site, handle the alerts, and view the alert history.
View the alerts and RPO monitoring data of a disaster recovery site
Log on to the Cloud Backup console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
If you are not using EBS Async Replication, click Switch to EBS Async Replication.
On the Site Pairs tab, click the disaster recovery site pair.
View the alerts and RPO monitoring data.
In the Alerts section of the Overview page, view the alerts and statistics of the current disaster recovery site.
In the RPO Monitoring section of the Overview page, view the RPO monitoring data of the current disaster recovery site.
NoteDiscontinued RPO monitoring indicates that no data is being replicated.
Handle alerts
Log on to the Cloud Backup console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
If you are not using EBS Async Replication, click Switch to EBS Async Replication.
On the Site Pairs tab, click the disaster recovery site pair.
Click Disaster Recovery Alerts.
The console displays the current alerts in a list. After the system reports an alert, check the operations and configurations related to the instance at the disaster recovery site, and then handle the alert accordingly. After the alert is handled or if no operation is required, click Ignore to ignore the alert.
You can click the link to go to the disaster recovery site pair that reported the alert.
NoteAlerts that are not active, for example, an RPO alert is cleared, are automatically moved to the alert history. Alerts for configuration changes must be manually confirmed after you change the configurations back or enable protection again.
View the alert history
Log on to the Cloud Backup console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
If you are not using EBS Async Replication, click Switch to EBS Async Replication.
On the Site Pairs tab, click the disaster recovery site pair.
Click Disaster Recovery Alerts. On the Alert History tab, query the alerts based on conditions such as the recovery time and instance ID.
