This topic describes how to use Cloud Backup to back up data from cloud resources. You can use Cloud Backup to back up data from Alibaba Cloud resources and self-managed data centers in a secure and efficient manner. The backup feature of Cloud Backup is suitable for Alibaba Cloud resources including Elastic Compute Service (ECS) instances, File Storage NAS (NAS) file systems, and Object Storage Service (OSS) buckets.
The following figure shows the architecture of the backup feature provided by Cloud Backup. This feature is applicable to ECS file systems, NAS files, OSS objects, and ECS-hosted SQL Server databases and SAP HANA databases.
