Uninstall the Cloud Backup client - Cloud Backup - Alibaba Cloud Documentation Center

This topic describes how to uninstall the Cloud Backup client on Linux and Windows.

Linux

Log on to the Linux server.
Navigate to the installation path of the Cloud Backup client.
- Default installation path for a new client: /opt/alibabacloud/hbrclient
- Default installation path for a legacy client: /opt/alibabacloud/hbr/
If a NAS file system is mounted at the installation path, run the umount command to unmount the NAS file system to prevent accidental deletion of your NAS files.
If the installation path contains other important directories or files, move them to another directory to prevent accidental deletion.
Run the ./uninstall command.
Example:
After the uninstallation is complete, the Client Status in the Console changes from Activated to Stopped.

Before you uninstall the client, the Client Status in the Console is Activated.
Log on to the Windows system.
In File Explorer, navigate to the installation path of the Cloud Backup client.
- Default installation path for a new client: C:\Program Files\Aliyun Hybrid Backup Service Client
- Default installation path for a legacy client: C:\Program Files\Aliyun Hybrid Backup Service
If a NAS file system is mounted at the installation path, unmount the NAS file system.
If the installation path contains other important directories or files, move them to another directory to prevent accidental deletion.
Double-click the uninstaller, unins000.exe.
In the uninstallation wizard, click Yes.
The following window confirms that the Cloud Backup client has been successfully uninstalled.
After the uninstallation is complete, the Client Status in the Console changes from Activated to Stopped.
