For select data sources, Cloud Backup offers a 30-day free trial during which all fees are waived, regardless of the data source size. You can convert to a paid plan at any time during the trial. If you do not configure the plan to auto-renew to a paid subscription, your backup jobs will automatically stop after 30 days. All backup data generated during the free trial will be permanently deleted seven days after the backup jobs are stopped. To prevent data loss, convert to a paid plan before the trial expires. The following sections describe the details of the 30-day free trial.
Limitations
-
Enterprise features: The 30-day free trial does not include backup policies, automatic archiving, immutable backups, or virus detection for backup points.
-
Each free backup plan uses a dedicated backup vault. This vault cannot be changed after you convert to a paid plan.
-
Backup plans created using the Associate Resource Tag (Optional) feature in a backup policy are not eligible for the 30-day free trial. For more information, see Associate resource tags.
Convert to a paid plan
-
You can convert your trial to a paid plan in one of the following ways:
-
When you create a free plan, click Switch to Paid Plan to convert immediately.
-
On the Backup Plans page, find the free plan that you want to edit. In the Status column, click to automatically convert to a paid plan when the trial expires. Alternatively, click to convert immediately.
-
On the Storage Vaults page, for a Tablestore backup vault, find the vault and in the Actions column, click to convert immediately. For an OSS or NAS backup vault, find the vault and in the Status column, select to configure automatic conversion, or select to convert immediately.
-
-
After you convert to a paid plan, follow these steps to edit the backup policy:
-
After you convert to a paid plan, on the Backup Plan page, you can click in the Actions column, create a new backup policy in Policy Center based on the displayed backup vault information, and set the backup cycle and enable enterprise-level backup features based on your business requirements.
-
On the Modify Plan page, select the new policy from the Backup Policy drop-down list to associate it with the plan. This completes the initial configuration. To adjust policy details in the future, you can edit the backup policy directly in the Policy Center.
