Renewal extends the usage period for subscription clusters or storage plans at the same cost as the initial purchase. Pay-as-you-go clusters do not expire and do not require renewal — you only need to maintain a sufficient Alibaba Cloud account balance. Computing resource plans are valid for three years and cannot be renewed.

Before you renew a cluster, make sure that the target cluster has no pending renewal orders.
NoteYou can log on to the User Center, go to Order Management, and then pay for or cancel the pending order.

Note the following when you enable auto-renewal:

If a resource plan or cluster expires on the following day, it will not be automatically renewed even if auto-renewal is enabled. To prevent service interruptions, you must renew it manually.

After you enable auto-renewal, the setting takes effect the following day. The renewal is not performed immediately.

Auto-renewal payments are deducted only from your available account balance, not from your bank cards, Alipay, or credit cards. Ensure that your account has a sufficient balance.

Enable auto-renewal when you create a cluster
When you purchase a subscription cluster, select the Auto-renewal at expiration checkbox.
After you enable auto-renewal, the system automatically renews the cluster based on the selected renewal cycle. For example, if you select a three-month renewal cycle, the system charges a three-month fee for each renewal.
Enable auto-renewal in the Renewal Management console
You can also enable auto-renewal for existing ApsaraDB for ClickHouse clusters from the Renewal Management page.

Log on to the ApsaraDB for ClickHouse console.

In the upper-right corner of the console, click to go to the Expenses and Costs page.

In the left-side navigation pane, choose . On the Resource Renewal page, filter for the instances that you want to renew.

In the Actions column of the instance, click Enable Auto-renewal.
NoteTo enable auto-renewal for multiple clusters, select the checkboxes next to the clusters and click Enable Auto-renewal at the bottom of the page.

In the Enable Auto-renewal dialog box, set the Auto-renewal Period and click Enable Auto-renewal.
Manual renewal
Renew from the ApsaraDB for ClickHouse console

Log on to the ApsaraDB for ClickHouse console.

In the upper-left corner of the page, select the region where your cluster is located.

On the Clusters page, find the target cluster and click Renew in the Actions column.

On the Renew page, set the Purchase Duration.

Select the ApsaraDB for ClickHouse Subscription Service Agreement checkbox, click Buy and Start, and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the payment.
Renew from the Renewal Management console

Log on to the ApsaraDB for ClickHouse console.

In the upper-right corner of the console, click to go to the Expenses and Costs page.

In the left-side navigation pane, choose . On the Resource Renewal page, filter for the instances that you want to renew.

In the Actions column of the instance, click Renew.

Select the Service Agreement checkbox, click Buy and Start, and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the payment.

When you purchase a storage plan from the ApsaraDB for ClickHouse Enterprise Edition purchase page, select the Auto-renewal at expiration checkbox.

The system automatically applies any available coupons from your account to renewal payments.
