Dear Alibaba Cloud users, ApsaraDB for ClickHouse Enterprise Edition introduces Agent-lens. Built on a ClickHouse + Langfuse architecture, Agent-lens provides an out-of-the-box, end-to-end observability and evaluation solution for AI Agents. With Agent-lens, you can trace Agent behavior, monitor costs, and assess performance. The beta test is now open to select users.
Beta test period
The beta test runs from April 21, 2026, to October 31, 2026. The end date is subject to the commercial release announcement.
Key features
Agent-lens is an observability feature of ApsaraDB for ClickHouse Enterprise Edition. Its core features include:
Tracing: Visualize the complete execution path of an Agent with a three-tiered architecture (Session → Trace → Generation/Span) using tree and graph views. This helps you pinpoint performance bottlenecks and logical errors.
Prompt management: Fully decouple prompts from application code. A web-based editor, multi-version A/B testing, and a playground for live previews allow business users to iterate on prompts without requiring application redeployment.
Automated evaluation: Use the built-in LLM-as-a-Judge to automatically score Agent responses based on your business rules. Monitor for hallucinations and security risks in real time, and configure alerts or blocks for high-risk operations.
Limitations
During the beta test, you can enable Agent-lens only in the following regions: China (Beijing), China (Hangzhou), China (Shanghai), China (Shenzhen), China (Hong Kong), and Singapore.
You must use an ApsaraDB for ClickHouse Enterprise Edition instance. You can enable Agent-lens on an existing instance with a single click.
Billing
During the beta test, your ApsaraDB for ClickHouse Enterprise Edition instance is billed according to its existing rules, supporting both pay-as-you-go and subscription models. The Agent-lens feature, including the Langfuse node, is available at no additional charge.
We will notify you and announce the official pricing before the feature's commercial release.
