When you use certain features in ApsaraDB for ClickHouse, the cluster automatically provisions dependent Alibaba Cloud services. These services are billed separately from your cluster. This topic covers which services are involved, which features trigger them, and what you are charged for.
Dependent services apply only to ApsaraDB for ClickHouse clusters created after September 30, 2021. These dependent services are billed using the pay-as-you-go billing method. Clusters created before that date do not rely on other Alibaba Cloud services. When a cluster is released, billing for all dependent services stops automatically.

Billing details
Application Real-Time Monitoring Service (ARMS)
ARMS powers monitoring and alerting for ApsaraDB for ClickHouse clusters.
Monitoring
Monitoring relies on Prometheus monitoring. After you enable Prometheus monitoring, you can view up to 15 days of monitoring data in the ApsaraDB for ClickHouse console at no charge. Data older than 15 days is automatically purged.
Alerting
Alerting relies on the ARMS alert management service. Charges are based on the type of alert service you enable. For more information, see What is ARMS?
Classic Load Balancer (CLB)
CLB is provisioned when you enable a VPC network or request a public endpoint. Both scenarios use the Small I specification (slb.s1.small), but the charges differ.
VPC network
Enabling a VPC network incurs the CLB specification fee only.
Public endpoint
Requesting a public endpoint incurs the CLB instance fee, traffic fee, and specification fee.
For CLB pricing details, see CLB pricing policy. For an overview of CLB, see What is CLB?
Elastic Network Interface (ENI)
ENI-based networking is free. ENIs are provisioned automatically. For more information, see ENI overview.
