This topic describes the billing details about specification changes in ApsaraDB for ClickHouse. Take note of the following billing details when you scale your ApsaraDB for ClickHouse clusters.

Subscription | Specification changes within the subscription period Scale-out costs = (Daily costs of the cluster after the scale-out - Daily costs of the cluster before the scale-out) × Number of days from the scale-out date to the expiration date If the number of days from the scale-out date to the expiration date is less than 365, the daily costs of the cluster after the scale-out are equal to the monthly subscription price divided by the number of days in the month. If the number of days from the scale-out date to the expiration date is equal to or greater than 365, the daily costs of the cluster after the scale-out are equal to the yearly subscription price divided by the number of days in the year.
Renewal and specification changes upon expiration Your cluster is billed based on the new specifications and the new subscription period. The subscription period may be months or years.

Pay-as-you-go | A pay-as-you-go cluster is still billed on an hourly basis after you change the specifications of the cluster. The fees are calculated based on the new cluster specifications. |
