Configuration items

The following sections describe the configuration items of the Send LINE Message component.

Available variables

The Available Variables area contains common variables that are created by default. You can use these variables during journey orchestration. To add a custom variable, click Insert Variable on the settings page. The new variable appears in Available Variables. For more information about how to use available variables, see Use available variables.

Send settings

In Send Settings, select one of the following actions:

  • From/To — Specify the sender and the recipient of the message.

  • Reply Back — Reply to a user's inbound message.

From/To

If the trigger type is API event, you must use From/To in Send Settings.

Send type

Variable

Select a variable from the drop-down list.

For Recipient, enter a fixed ID in the field, or click Insert Variable to select a defined variable or add a variable.

Reply back

Select Reply Back to reply to a user's inbound message by using the sender account that is bound to the current journey. No additional settings are required.

Message settings

Message Settings determines the type of message to send: Text or Template message.

Text

If you set Message type to Text, the message is a plain text message. You must specify the message content. The content supports variables.

Template message

If you set Message type to Template message, select a message channel and a message template that is created for that channel. Click Preview to preview the template content.

Timeout settings

Specify whether to turn on Enable Undelivered Branch. After you turn on this switch, you can customize the timeout period and configure the components in the undelivered branch. For example, if a message is not delivered before the timeout period elapses, you can use the Send SMS component to send the message by SMS.

Interactive reply settings

In Interactive reply settings, you can create branches based on recipients' replies to an interactive message.

Description

Example

Enable Branching Based on Interactive Replies

After you turn on this switch, reply branches are created based on the buttons or list options that are set in the interactive message, so that you can configure each branch.

The system automatically generates a reply branch for each button or list option that is set in the interactive message. You can configure the subsequent flow of each branch separately.

Enable Branching for Interactive Reply Timeout

After you turn on this switch, a no-reply branch is created to handle the case in which the waiting period expires. You must customize the timeout period for waiting for interactive replies. If Enable Undelivered Branch is turned on and no other flow is configured, the journey continues with the subsequent flow after the timeout period elapses.

Set the timeout period in Interactive Reply Waiting Time. For example, set it to 90 seconds.

Interactive Reply Waiting Time

Set the timeout period for waiting. Seconds, minutes, and hours are supported. When the specified timeout period elapses, the configuration in the no-reply branch takes effect.

For example, set it to 90 seconds.

Custom Output Variable Name

Specify a custom variable to receive the selection of the user. The new variable appears in Available Variables and can be called at any time in the subsequent flow.

For example, enter test.
