This topic describes how to migrate phone numbers that are bound to a WhatsApp Business account (WABA) in the ChatApp console.
Prerequisites
ChatApp Message Service is activated.
An Alibaba Cloud account is created and enterprise verification is complete for the Alibaba Cloud account. If you do not have an Alibaba Cloud account or do not complete enterprise verification, go to the Register account page to create a business account and go to the Real-name Registration page to complete enterprise verification.
A WhatsApp account is created. We recommend that you sign up with WhatsApp and log on to your WhatsApp account before you create a WhatsApp Business account.
Procedure
Click register.
Log on to your Facebook account.
ImportantDo not create a new account when you log on to your Facebook account.
Click Start now.
On the page that displays Step 1 of 3: Create Your Meta and WhatsApp Business Account, select the Meta Business account to which the phone numbers you want to migrate are bound and click Continue.
Create a new WhatsApp Business account and click Continue.
Close the page to complete the embedded signup and do not proceed to Step 2.
ImportantDo not proceed to Step 2.
Access Facebook Business Manager to check whether the service authentication and WhatsApp Business account verification have been approved, and whether the payment method has been specified.
Log on to the ChatApp console. In the left-side navigation pane, select WABA onboarding.
Click Number migration in the upper-right corner of the page.
Follow the instructions on the page to perform subsequent operations.
After the migration is complete, if your destination WABA is an Official Business Account (OBA) or you have completed two-step verification, go to Meta Business Manager and enable the two-step verification again. This ensures the security of your account and retains the OBA status.
