This topic describes how to configure SMS fallback settings, including fallback rules and policies.
Overview
Fallback settings consist of two steps:
Add a fallback rule: A fallback rule refers to a mechanism where, if a WhatsApp message fails to send within a specified time or is not received or read by the recipient, the message is sent via SMS. When adding a new fallback policy, you need to select an already created fallback rule.
Add a fallback policy: A fallback policy refers to a fallback message-sending mechanism that includes fallback rules. When sending a message, you need to select an already created fallback policy.
