What is a limited-time offer template
A limited-time offer template is a type of marketing template that displays an offer expiration date and a countdown timer in messages to increase customer engagement.
Limitations

When you create a limited-time offer template, you must select Marketing for the template category.

A limited-time offer template must include a promo code button and a URL button.

You cannot add a message footer to a limited-time offer template.

The message body can be up to
600characters. -
The offer details text can be up to 16 characters.

A promo code can be up to 15 characters long.

Users who view a limited-time offer template message in the WhatsApp Web or desktop application will not see the offer. Instead, they will see a message that
their client does not support this type of message.
Create a template in the console
Log on to the Chat App Message Service console.

Click Channel Management, and select a WhatsApp channel's Channel ID or Manage.

On the Channel Operations page, select Template Design, and then click Create Template.

In the pop-up Create Template dialog box, set the Template Name, select Marketing for Category, select the Language, and click OK.

On the template editing page, design the message template body, and click the Add Limited-time Offer icon.
In the
Settingspanel on the right, settemplate formattoCustom. TheBody Contentfield is required and is limited to 600 characters. Its rich text editor supports bold, italics, ordered lists, unordered lists, links, and text variables. -
In the Limited-time Offer settings on the right side of the page, edit the Discount Introduction and turn on the Expiration Time switch.
In the
Time Variablefield, enter an expiration time variable, such as $offerExpirationTimeMs. After you enable the expiration time, the template must include either a promo code button or a URL button. -
Click the Add Promo Code Button, add a Copy promo code button, and select a Variable.
In the
Button Configurationarea, set the button text toCopy Promo Codeand selectcouponas the parameter variable. -
Click Add URL Button to add and configure link information for the promotional product.
In the
Button Configurationarea, settemplate formattoCustomandEvent TypetoRedirect on Click. Enter the desired text (for example,View Offer) in theButton Textfield. SetURL TypetoDynamic, and then clickSelect Linkto set the URL address. In theParameter Variablesarea, clickSelect Variableto add a required variable, such ascode. -
Click the Save button to save the template, and then click the Submit button to submit it for review.
