Starting July 1, 2026, Chat App will charge a platform service fee for messages sent through certain previously free channels. This topic describes the affected channels, new rates, and billing rules.
Affected channels
The following channels are affected by this pricing change:
Facebook Messenger
Instagram
Telegram
Previously, these channels were free, with no message fee or platform service fee.
New pricing details
Effective date: Aug 1, 2026
New rates:
Platform service fee: USD 0.002 per message, charged after the message is successfully sent.
NoteA message is considered successfully sent when the Chat App message service submits it to the vendor server. This fee applies even if the message is not ultimately delivered to the end user.
Message fee: Remains free.
Billing
Messages sent before Aug 1, 2026 are not charged.
Messages sent on or after Aug 1, 2026 are subject to the new platform service fee. The message fee remains free.

Reminders
