This topic describes how to restore the acceleration service for a domain name after the service is disabled.
Background information
CDN stops the acceleration service for a domain name in the following cases:
Category | Subcategory | Description |
Active disabling | Active disabling | You disabled the acceleration service for the domain name in the console or by calling OpenAPI. |
Passive disabling | Content violation | The website content does not meet the content moderation requirements of Alibaba Cloud. This causes the system to unpublish or block the accelerated domain name. For more information, see Limits. |
Overdue payment | If the available credit in your account, including your Alibaba Cloud account balance, vouchers, and coupons, cannot cover your outstanding bills, your account becomes overdue. As a result, CDN stops the acceleration service for all your domain names. For more information, see Overdue payments.
Expired ICP filing | If the acceleration region for your domain name is the Chinese mainland, an expired ICP filing causes the acceleration service for the domain name to be disabled.
Bandwidth cap | The bandwidth of the domain name reaches the upper threshold that you set in the bandwidth cap feature. This causes the domain name service to be disabled. |
Procedure
To restore the acceleration service, find the reason that the service was disabled in the Background information section.
If your domain name is blocked due to content violations, an overdue payment, or an expired ICP filing, the system notifies you by text message or email.
Resolve the issue that disabled your service
If your service was not disabled by yourself, first resolve the issue, and then re-enable the acceleration.
Content violation
If your site content does not violate any rules, or if you have rectified the non-compliant content, submit a ticket to unblock the domain name. Then, re-enable the service. For more information, see Contact us.
Overdue payment
If your payment is overdue for less than one month, the acceleration service is automatically restored after you top up your account and settle the outstanding bill. If your payment is overdue for more than one month, the service is not automatically restored after you top up and settle the bill. You must manually reconfigure the acceleration policy.
Expired ICP filing
If the acceleration region is the Chinese mainland, you must re-apply for an ICP filing before you can enable the service.
Bandwidth cap
If the bandwidth of your domain name exceeds the bandwidth cap and then falls below the bandwidth cap, CDN does not automatically restore acceleration by default. In this case, you need to manually enable the domain name in the CDN console to restore acceleration.
Re-enable the acceleration
If your service was actively disabled or the issues have been solved, perform the following steps to re-enable the acceleration.
Log on to the CDN console.
In the left navigation pane, click Domain Names.
On the Domain Names page, select the domain names that you want to enable and click Enable.
