To apply the configuration of one domain name to others in bulk, use the copy configuration feature. This ensures consistency across domain names and saves time on manual configuration. For example, to ensure identical origin information for multiple domain names that accelerate resources from the same origin, use this feature to copy the origin information from an existing domain name to the target ones.
Precautions
-
The copy operation is irreversible. Ensure the source domain's configuration is correct before you proceed.
-
Use caution when copying configurations for domain names with high data transfer or bandwidth to avoid unexpected costs.
-
You cannot copy special backend configurations added by submitting a ticket.
-
You can configure up to 20 domain names at once. The total number of operations, calculated as (number of domain names) × (number of configuration items), must not exceed 50.
-
The following configuration items cannot be copied: HTTPS certificate, HTTP/2, OCSP stapling, and TLS cipher suite and protocol version. After copying, you must configure these items separately for each target domain name.
FAQ
Troubleshooting copy configuration errors
If you encounter an error (such as a timeout or failure) when using the copy configuration feature, follow these troubleshooting steps:
-
Deselect some features, such as page optimization, Gzip compression, or filter parameters, and then try the copy operation again.
-
If the copy operation succeeds after you deselect some features, manually add the configurations for those features on the domain management page. This does not affect the final configuration.
Procedure
-
Log on to the CDN console.
-
In the left navigation pane, click Domain Names.
-
On the Domain Names page, select the source domain name and click Copy Configurations.
-
Select the configuration items to copy and click Next.
Note-
You cannot copy origin information and Basic Information (CNAME record, business type, and acceleration region) at the same time.
-
Back-to-origin HTTP request header and custom HTTP response header settings are copied incrementally. For example, if domain name A has two back-to-origin header rules and you copy five rules from domain name B, domain name A will have seven such rules.
-
Copying settings for back-to-origin HTTP request header (New) and back-to-origin HTTP response header overwrites existing configurations. For example, if domain name A has a
cache_controlheader set to private and you copy the configuration from domain name B where it is set to public, thecache_controlheader for domain name A is updated to public. -
On/off settings and Referer/IP blocklist/allowlist configurations overwrite the configurations on the target domain names.
On the Copy Configuration page, the Select Configuration Items step lists the available configuration items and their current status in a table. For example, origin information may be displayed as Set, range back-to-origin as Enabled, and video seeking as Disabled. Select the configuration items to copy and click Next.
-
-
Select the target domain names and click Next.
Use the search box to filter and select up to 20 target domain names.
-
In the Copy Configurations dialog box, click OK.
