Cloud Architect Design Tools:Attach an operation flow

Last Updated:Mar 11, 2026

An operation flow can be attached to existing instances, instances in new applications, or instances in Cloud Architect Design Tools (CADT) templates. This topic uses a PolarDB database as an example to describe the attachment procedure.

Prerequisites

  • The operation flow has been created.

  • You have been added to the CADT flow whitelist.

Procedure

Attach a flow to a running instance

  1. Open the CADT console. Click Flows > My Flows. Find the desired flow and click View Flow.

  2. Click Execute Task in the upper-right corner. In the Attach Instance section, select the target instance and follow the prompts to execute the flow.

Flow for attaching a new application

  1. Select an application that contains PolarDB and click Attach Flow.

    Important

This method is not supported for applications in the Deployment Succeeded state. Instead, attach the flow to the running instance.

  2. Select the target flow and PolarDB resource, and then follow the prompts to complete the attachment.

  3. After the attachment is complete, on the All Applications page, click View Attachment to view the details of the attached flow. You can also delete the operation flow.

Attach a flow to a template

  1. Open the Templates page. Click New > My Solutions. Select the target template and click Attach Flow.

  2. Configure the region, solution, and resources, and then follow the prompts to attach the flow.

  3. After the attachment is complete, you can click View Attachment to view the details of the attached flow. You can also delete the operation flow.

    Important

Ensure that the region tags are consistent when you attach and view flows. Otherwise, you cannot query the corresponding flow information.
