Bastionhost:Add and manage database accounts

After you import a database to your bastion host, you can add an existing account of the database to the bastion host. This way, O&M engineers can use the account to log on to and perform O&M operations on the database. This topic describes how to add database accounts, delete the password of a database account, change the name of a database account, and remove database accounts.

Add one or more database accounts

  1. Log on to the Bastionhost console. In the top navigation bar, select the region in which your bastion host resides.

  2. In the bastion host list, find the bastion host that you want to manage and click Manage.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Assets > Database.

  4. On the Database page, add one or more database accounts.

    • Add a single database account

      Click Add Database Account in the Actions column of a database. In the Add Database Account panel, specify the logon name and password of the account and then click Create.

    • Add multiple database accounts at a time

      Select multiple databases and choose Batch > Database Account > Add Account below the list. In the Add Account dialog box, configure the parameters and click Create.

Manage database accounts

Delete the password of a database account

  1. Log on to the Bastionhost console. In the top navigation bar, select the region in which your bastion host resides.

  2. In the bastion host list, find the bastion host that you want to manage and click Manage.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Assets > Database.

  4. On the Database page, click the number in the Database Accounts column of a database.

  5. On the Database Account tab of the panel that appears, click Clear in the Password column of an account.

Change the name of a database account

  1. Log on to the Bastionhost console. In the top navigation bar, select the region in which your bastion host resides.

  2. In the bastion host list, find the bastion host that you want to manage and click Manage.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Assets > Database.

  4. On the Database page, click the number in the Database Accounts column of a database.

  5. On the Database Account tab of the panel that appears, click the name of an account in the Logon Name column. In the Modify Database Account panel, change the value of Logon Name and click Update.

Remove one or more database accounts

  1. Log on to the Bastionhost console. In the top navigation bar, select the region in which your bastion host resides.

  2. In the bastion host list, find the bastion host that you want to manage and click Manage.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Assets > Database.

  4. On the Database page, click the number in the Database Accounts column of a database.

    • Remove a single database account

      On the Database Account tab, find the database accounts that you want to remove from the bastion host and click Delete. In the dialog box that appears, click Delete.

    • Remove multiple database accounts at a time

      On the Database page, select multiple databases and choose Batch > Database Account > Delete Account. In the Delete Account dialog box, click OK.
