Bastionhost:Manage databases

Last Updated:Sep 12, 2024

After you import databases to a bastion host as an administrator, you can manage the database in the console of the bastion host, such as modifying the basic information about self-managed databases and modifying the O&M addresses of databases. This topic describes how to manage databases in the console of a bastion host.

Modify the basic information about a self-managed database

After you import a self-managed database to your bastion host, you can modify the information about the database in the console of the bastion host. The information includes the database name, endpoint, and service port. To modify the basic information about a database that is imported from the current Alibaba Cloud account or a member, go to the corresponding service console.

  1. Log on to the Bastionhost console. In the top navigation bar, select the region in which your bastion host resides.

  2. In the bastion host list, find the bastion host that you want to manage and click Manage.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Assets > Database.

  4. In the Database Instance Name column of the Database page, click the name of a database. On the Basic Info tab of the panel that appears, modify the values of parameters such as Database Instance Name, Database Address, and Service Port. Then, click Update.

To specify whether a bastion host connects to a database over a public or internal O&M address, perform the following steps:

  1. Log on to the Bastionhost console. In the top navigation bar, select the region in which your bastion host resides.

  2. In the bastion host list, find the bastion host that you want to manage and click Manage.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Assets > Database.

  4. On the Database page, select the database that you want to manage and choose Batch > Change O&M Address below the database list.

    • If you set the Type of Database IP Address parameter to Public Endpoint, the bastion host connects to the database by using the public O&M address.

    • If you set the Type of Database IP Address parameter to Internal Endpoint, the bastion host connects to the database by using the internal O&M address.

Remove databases

  1. Log on to the Bastionhost console. In the top navigation bar, select the region in which your bastion host resides.

  2. In the bastion host list, find the bastion host that you want to manage and click Manage.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Assets > Database.

  4. On the Database page, select the databases that you want to remove from the bastion host and click Delete below the database list. In the dialog box that appears, click Delete.
