After importing databases into your bastion host, you can update self-managed database details, switch the O&M connection address type, and remove databases — all from the Bastionhost console.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure that you have:
Administrator access to the Bastionhost console
At least one database asset already imported into your bastion host
Open the Database page
All three tasks in this document start from the same entry point. To reach the Database page:
Log on to the Bastionhost console. In the top navigation bar, select the region where your bastion host resides.
In the bastion host list, find the target bastion host and click Manage.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Assets > Database.
Modify the basic information about a self-managed database
For self-managed databases, you can edit the database instance name, endpoint, and service port directly in the console.
Click the database name in the Database Instance Name column. On the Basic Info tab, update one or more of the following fields, then click Update.
Field Description Database Instance Name The display name for this database asset in Bastionhost Database Address The hostname or IP address of the database Service Port The port on which the database listens

Modify the O&M addresses of databases
The O&M address determines whether the bastion host connects to your database over the public network or the internal network (VPC). Use a public endpoint when the database is accessible from the internet; use an internal endpoint when the database and the bastion host are in the same virtual private cloud (VPC).
Select the databases to update, then choose Batch > Change O&M Address.

Set Type of Database IP Address to the appropriate value:
Value Behavior Public Endpoint The bastion host connects to the database using the public O&M address. Internal Endpoint The bastion host connects to the database using the internal O&M address.
Remove databases
Select the databases to remove, then click Delete below the list. In the confirmation dialog, click Delete.
