Bastionhost:Modify a host's O&M IP address

Last Updated:Jun 20, 2026

Bastionhost connects to a host by using its public or private IP address. This topic describes how to modify the O&M IP address for a host.

Background

You can configure the O&M IP address for a host to be a Private IP Address or a Public IP Address.

  • If you select Public IP Address, Bastionhost connects to the host using its public IP address.

  • If you select Private IP Address, Bastionhost connects to the host using its private IP address.

Note

If a host has both a private and a public IP address, Bastionhost connects using the private IP address by default.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Bastionhost console. In the top navigation bar, select the region where your Bastionhost instance is located.

  2. In the list of Bastionhost instances, find the target instance and click Manage.

  3. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Assets > Hosts.

  4. On the Hosts page, select the host or hosts to modify, and then choose Batch > Modify O&M IP Address from the menu below the host list.

Alternatively, you can right-click a single host and select Modify O&M IP Address from the context menu.

  5. In the Modify O&M IP Address dialog box, select a Host IP Address Type and click OK.

    • Select Public IP Address to use the host's public IP address.

    • Select Private IP Address to use the host's private IP address.
