Bastionhost:Block a session

Last Updated:Aug 20, 2026

If you notice a user performing unauthorized or high-risk operations during real-time monitoring, you can block the session to terminate the connection.

  1. Log on to the Bastionhost console. In the top navigation bar, select the region where your Bastionhost instance is located.

  2. In the list of Bastionhost instances, find the target instance and click Manage.

  3. In the navigation pane on the left, choose O&M Audit > Real-Time Monitoring.

  4. In the session list, select the session to block and then click Use the session blocking feature.

    Note
    • You cannot block real-time database sessions.

    • If an administrator blocks a user's session, that user cannot perform O&M on any hosts during the lock period. Bastionhost allows you to set the Duration to Lock Users Upon Session Blocking. For instructions, see O&M settings.
