Backup and Disaster Recovery Center:Message Center

Backup and Disaster Recovery Center (BDRC) provides alert notifications. You can receive timely reminders when the execution of a protection policy fails or other abnormal situations occur. This topic describes how to query and handle alert messages.

Query alert messages

  1. Log on to the BDRC console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Message Center. On the page that appears, query messages by message type, message level, and time range.

    Description

    Message Type

    The message type. Valid values:

    • The sub protection policy is modified

    • The sub protection policy is not found

    • Not apply the protection policy

    • Failed to apply the protection policy

    Message Level

    The message level. Valid values:

    • Critical: indicates urgent issues that need to be immediately handled, such as The sub protection policy is not found and Failed to apply the protection policy.

    • Warning: indicates issues that require attention, such as The sub protection policy is modified and Not apply the protection policy.

    Message Time Later Than

    The earliest time of messages you want to query.

    Message Time Earlier Than

    The latest time of messages you want to query.

Handle alert messages

  1. On the Message Center page, click the value in the Message Source column for the message you want to handle.

  2. On the Protection Policy Center page to which you are redirected, click View All in the Latest Application column.

  3. In the Latest Application Result panel, select Failed or Skipped from the Application Result drop-down list. Then, handle the alert message according to the error message displayed in the Application Result column.
