Bastionhost:Manage an authorization rule

You can modify the configuration items of an authorization rule or delete an expired authorization rule that is no longer required. This topic describes how to modify or delete an authorization rule.

Prerequisites

An authorization rule is created in your bastion host. For more information, see Create an authorization rule.

Modify an authorization rule

You can modify an existing authorization rule on the Basic Info and Asset/User tabs of the rule details page.

  1. Log on to the Bastionhost console. In the top navigation bar, select the region in which your bastion host resides.

  2. In the bastion host list, find the bastion host that you want to manage and click Manage.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, click Authorization Rules.

  4. On the Authorization Rules page, find the authorization rule that you want to modify.

  5. Click Edit in the Actions column.

  6. On the Authorization Details page, modify the configuration items of the authorization rule.

    • On the Basic Info tab, modify Authorization Rule Name, Validity Period, or Remarks, and click Update.

    • On the Assets/Users tab, you can add or remove assets or asset groups for the authorization rule.

Delete an authorization rule

You can delete an authorization rule that is no longer required.

  1. Log on to the Bastionhost console. In the top navigation bar, select the region in which your bastion host resides.

  2. In the bastion host list, find the bastion host that you want to manage and click Manage.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, click Authorization Rules.

  4. On the Authorization Rules page, find the authorization rule that you want to delete.

  5. Click Delete in the Actions column.

  6. In the dialog box that appears, click Delete.

    After you delete the authorization rule, the configurations such as the assets that are associated with the rule and the validity period of the rule become invalid.
