Bastionhost:Supported regions

Last Updated:May 05, 2023

Regions are geographical locations where Bastionhost data centers are deployed. Regions are divided based on cities where data centers reside. This topic describes regions that are supported by Bastionhost and how to select a region.

How to select a region

Important

When you create or purchase an Alibaba Cloud resource, you can select the region in which to deploy the resource. The resource is region-specific, and you cannot change the region of the resource.

When you select a region, take note of the following items.

Item

Description

Geographic location

Services deployed in a region that is geographically closer to your users are more responsive when your users access your services.

We recommend that you select a region based on your requirements on network latency.

Connection between cloud services over an internal network

In most cases, we recommend that you deploy a bastion host and your asset that you want to use the bastion host to manage in the same region. If you want to deploy a bastion host and the asset that you want to use the bastion host to manage in different regions, make sure that the bastion host and the asset are connected. Your asset can be an Elastic Compute Service (ECS) instance.

Resource price

You can select a region based on your budget.

The prices of resources may vary based on regions. For more information, see Billing.
