Subscription-based Prometheus instances for Container Service include a built-in performance monitoring suite and integrated Kubernetes (K8s) event collection. The suite covers workload performance monitoring, Ingress performance monitoring, CoreDNS performance monitoring, and event collection.

When you first purchase a subscription, the suite is selected by default on the purchase page. After you subscribe, the features for integrated event collection, workload performance monitoring, Ingress performance monitoring, and CoreDNS performance monitoring are enabled. If you deselect the suite during your initial purchase, you can manually install the components later. For more information, see Built-in performance monitoring suite and integrated K8s event feature.

If your Prometheus for Container Service instance uses the pay-as-you-go billing method, these features are not enabled by default. You can install the components manually.
