If you do not need to use Managed Service for Prometheus, you can release Prometheus instances and resources, and deactivate the service.
Refunds
Based on the pay-as-you-go billing method, Managed Service for Prometheus generates a bill for the previous day on a daily basis and deducts the bill amount from the balance of your Alibaba Cloud account. You are not charged upfront fees. Therefore, you cannot apply for a refund.
Release Prometheus instances and resources
If you no longer use Managed Service for Prometheus, you can back up or migrate the data in your Prometheus instances, and then release the instances and resources. After a Prometheus instance is released, you are no longer charged for the instance. To release a Prometheus instance, perform the following steps:
- Log on to the ARMS console.
- In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
On the Managed Service for Prometheus page, find the Prometheus instance that you want to release and click Uninstall in the Actions column. In the message that appears, click OK.
