Notice on discontinuing the sampling and storage feature of Managed Service for OpenTelemetry

The sampling and storage feature was discontinued in May 2023. Your ability to configure server-side sampling rules depends on whether you previously used this feature.

The sampling and storage feature of Managed Service for OpenTelemetry was discontinued in May 2023.

  • If you have never used the sampling and storage feature, you cannot configure server-side sampling rules. You can still configure sampling rules on the client side.

  • If you have used the sampling and storage feature, you can continue to configure server-side sampling rules.
