This topic describes how to use the forwarding feature of the alert management module to forward alerts from one Alibaba Cloud account to another for unified management.

Background information

In ARMS, resources are isolated by Alibaba Cloud account. An Alibaba Cloud account can only view its own alerts, but cannot process the alerts of other Alibaba Cloud accounts. However, if the O&M department uses multiple Alibaba Cloud accounts, an O&M engineer must separately process alerts of different Alibaba Cloud accounts. This increases O&M costs.

The forwarding feature of the alert management module allows you to forward ARMS alerts from other Alibaba Cloud accounts to one Alibaba Cloud account for unified management.

In this example, the O&M department wants to forward the ARMS alert events of Accounts B and C to Account A for unified management.

Important The forwarding feature of the alert management module can only forward alert events generated by ARMS, but cannot forward alert events of other integrated alert sources.

Step 1: Create an integration

Account A creates an integration in the alert management and obtains the integration key.

  1. Log on to the ARMS console. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Alert Management > Integrations.
  2. On the Alert Integration tab of the Integrations page, click ARMS.
