After you add an ingest domain and a streaming domain, you must associate them to enable live stream ingest and playback. This topic describes how to associate a streaming domain with an ingest domain.
Prerequisites
You must add at least one main streaming domain and one ingest domain. For more information, see Add an accelerated domain name.
Background information
Edge ingest preferentially ingests streams to optimal Content Delivery Network (CDN) points of presence (POPs). This ensures access to the most efficient upstream network. This method reduces issues, such as video stuttering and slow stream pulling, that are caused by upstream transmissions. ApsaraVideo Live has deprecated the live center ingest feature. Streaming domains added after February 21, 2019 do not support live center ingest. Therefore, you must associate main streaming domains with ingest domains.
You can associate a main streaming domain with multiple ingest domains.
An ingest domain cannot be associated with multiple streaming domains simultaneously. If an ingest domain is already associated with a streaming domain, an error occurs if you try to associate another streaming domain with the ingest domain. For example, if your ingest domain
demo.aliyundoc.comis associated with the streaming domainexample.aliyundoc.com, you cannot associate the streaming domainlearn.aliyundoc.comwith the same ingest domain.You can associate multiple sub-streaming domains with a main streaming domain to play the same ingested stream. For more information, see Associate a main streaming domain with a sub-streaming domain.
You can associate a streaming domain with an ingest domain only if their live centers are in the same region. If the live centers are in different regions, the association fails.
A domain name cannot be used as both an ingest domain and a streaming domain simultaneously.
Procedure
Log on to the ApsaraVideo Live console.
In the navigation pane on the left, click Domain Names to go to the Domain Management page.
On the Domain Management page, find the target streaming domain and click Domain Settings in the Actions column.
In the Basic Settings section, click the Stream Ingest Information tab. Then click Not Configured or Add Stream Ingest Information.
Select an Ingest Domain to associate and click OK.
What to do next
To delete an associated ingest domain, click the Delete button and click OK.
