This topic describes the stream ingest protocols supported by Alibaba Cloud ApsaraVideo Live Services.
Details
The ApsaraVideo Live supports the real-time message transfer protocol RTMP(Real Time Messaging Protocol) and ARTC protocols. You can log on to the ApsaraVideo Live console and choose Toolbox > Address Generator in sequence. Enter the information based on the actual situation to obtain the ingest URL.
Note: You can also manually join ingest URLs. For more information, see Ingest URLs and playback URLs.
- RTMP protocol is developed by Adobe and is based on TCP protocol. It is an open protocol for audio, video and Data Transmission Service between Flash player and server. At present, RTMP is the main streaming protocol for mainstream video cloud services.
- ARTC is developed by Alibaba Cloud for real-time streaming (RTS).
