This topic describes how to calculate the validity period of a license for using the audio and video terminal SDK and the impacts of overdue payments.
Overdue payments
An official license for each module of the audio and video terminal SDK is valid for one year. When the license expires, you cannot use the features that are authorized by the license. You can renew the license to reactivate the license. The method for calculating the validity period of a license varies based on how the license is obtained.
Free trial license
A free trial license is valid for one month from the date of application and expires at 00:00:00 the day after the expiration date. For example, if you apply for a free trial license on March 1, 2022, the license is valid until March 31, 2022 and expires at 00:00:00 on April 1, 2022.
License gifted after a resource plan is purchased
A license is gifted after you purchase a resource plan for services such as ApsaraVideo Live and ApsaraVideo VOD. The gifted license is valid for one year from the date of purchase and expires at 00:00:00 the day after the expiration date. For example, if you purchase a resource plan for ApsaraVideo Live on March 1, 2022 and apply for a license for a specific module of the audio and video terminal SDK, the license is valid until March 1, 2023 and expires at 00:00:00 on March 2, 2023.
License separately purchased at a specific price or for free
The license that you purchase for a specific module is valid for one year from the date of purchase and expires at 00:00:00 the next day after the expiration date. For example, if you purchase a license for the short video SDK on March 1, 2022, the license is valid until March 1, 2023 and expires at 00:00:00 on March 2, 2023.
