ApsaraVideo VOD:Export media assets

ApsaraVideo VOD lets you batch export media asset information to CSV files. You can download these files for data backup, content auditing, or data analytics.

Method comparison

You can export media asset data in two ways: from the Data Center or from the Media Library.

Export from the Data Center

Backup, auditing, and data analytics for large volumes of data.

Asynchronous execution does not block current operations. You can view the progress in the task list.

Quick viewing, sampling, and exporting data lists for small batches (fewer than 1,000 files).

Procedure

Export from the Data Center (Recommended for large data volumes)

  1. Log on to the ApsaraVideo VOD console.

  2. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Data Center > Export Media Data to go to the Export Media Data page.

  3. Click Create Export Task. The following table describes the parameters.

    Description

    Task Name

    The name of the task.

    Media Type

    The type of the media assets that you want to export. Valid values: Video, Audio, Image, Video/Audio, and Attached Media.

    Note

    Each task can include a maximum of 100,000 audio and video media assets and 20,000 image and other media assets.

    Time Range

    You can set the time range for exporting media assets. Valid values:

    • All: exports all media assets of the specified type.

    • Custom Time: Exports media assets of the specified type that were stored in ApsaraVideo VOD during a specified time range.

    Media Name

    Set a keyword for the media asset name. For example, if you set this to animation, the task exports media assets whose names contain this keyword.

  4. Click OK. The task starts, and its status changes to Processing.

  5. The processing time for an export task depends on the media asset type, time range, and quantity. When the status changes to The export operation has been completed., click Download to download the CSV file containing media asset data.

  6. In the task list, you can perform the following operations on tasks:Cancel or delete export tasks

    1. Download: Downloads the CSV file to your computer.

    2. Cancel: Aborts the task while it is in the Processing state.

    3. Delete: After the task is complete, click Delete to remove the exported CSV file.

      Note

      Exported files occupy storage space and incur fees. To save storage costs, delete the files promptly after you download them.

Export media assets from the media asset library

  • If no accelerated domain name is configured, the exported data includes the media ID, name, duration (seconds), size (bytes), category tag, creation time, and last update time. After you configure an accelerated domain name, video stream URLs are also included. These URLs point to streams for playback without transcoding and transcoded streams. The source file URL is not included.

  • For more information about how to add a domain name, see Add a domain name for CDN.

  1. Log on to the ApsaraVideo VOD console.

  2. In the navigation pane on the left, under Media Files, click Audio/Video, Image, or Short Video Material.

  3. On the list page, click the Export Media Info button in the upper-right corner to export all media asset information that matches the current filter conditions.

    On the Audio/Video list page, you can also select specific audio and video files and then click the Export Media Info button at the bottom.媒资信息导出1

  4. Your browser automatically downloads the CSV file. After the download is complete, you can find the file in your browser's download history.

Limits

Export from the Data Center:

This feature is currently available only in the Singapore, US (Silicon Valley), and SAU (Riyadh - Partner Region) regions. Other regions are not supported.

  • A task can export a maximum of 100,000 audio or video files, and a maximum of 20,000 images or other media assets.

  • You can create a maximum of 100 export tasks per day.

Billing

The media asset export feature of ApsaraVideo VOD is free. However, files exported from the Data Center occupy storage space and are billed as Standard storage. For more information, see Media asset storage billing.

FAQ

I want to migrate my resources. Why is the source file URL not in the exported file?

The media asset export feature is not intended for resource migration. To migrate resources, see Migrate ApsaraVideo VOD resources.

What do I do if the task status shows 'Failed'?

Troubleshoot the issue as follows:

  1. Confirm that the number of media assets to export does not exceed the limit.

  2. Confirm that the number of export tasks created today does not exceed the daily limit.
