ApsaraVideo VOD data transfer plan
An ApsaraVideo VOD data transfer plan is a dedicated resource plan for accelerated playback. This plan is used to offset acceleration traffic, but not storage outbound traffic. A data transfer plan can be used to offset traffic charges only if an accelerated domain name is configured and the billing method for the acceleration service is Pay-by-traffic. You can purchase multiple data transfer plans, which are consumed in the order they are purchased. The system aggregates your hourly downstream traffic. Usage within the quota of a data transfer plan is deducted from the plan. Any usage that exceeds the quota is billed on a pay-as-you-go basis. For more information about pay-as-you-go, see Acceleration Service Billing.

ApsaraVideo VOD transcoding plan
ApsaraVideo VOD transcoding plans are dedicated resource plans used to offset transcoding fees. You can purchase one or more transcoding plans, and they are consumed in the order they are purchased. The system calculates the transcoding length that you use every hour. Usage within the quota of a transcoding plan and the specified resolution range is deducted from the transcoding plan. Excess usage is charged on a pay-as-you-go basis. For more information about pay-as-you-go billing, see Media asset transcoding billing.
Transcoding duration: The transcoding duration is the sum of the durations of all transcoding tasks. If you transcode the same video multiple times, each transcoding task is billed. For example, you transcode a 1-hour video twice using a transcoding template group that contains two standard transcoding templates: H.264 LD (640 × 480) and H.264 SD (1280 × 720). The transcoding duration for the H.264 LD (640 × 480) specification is 2 hours, and the transcoding duration for the H.264 SD (1280 × 720) specification is 2 hours. When deducting from a transcoding plan, the duration for the SD specification is converted based on a 1:1.5 ratio, which results in 3 hours. Therefore, although the total transcoding duration is 4 hours, the total duration deducted from the transcoding plan is 5 hours.

Deduction example
For example, if you purchase a 5,000-minute standard transcoding resource plan, it can offset 5,000 minutes of standard transcoding to the H.264 LD specification in China (Shanghai). If you use the plan exclusively for standard transcoding to the H.264 SD specification in China (Shanghai), it can offset 3,333.33 minutes of transcoding (5,000 ÷ 1.5, rounded). If you use it exclusively for standard transcoding to the H.264 HD specification in China (Shanghai), it can offset 1,724.14 minutes of transcoding (5,000 ÷ 2.9, rounded).
