ApsaraMQ for RabbitMQ:Data encryption

ApsaraMQ for RabbitMQ provides various security capabilities that comply with the regulations of multiple organizations. ApsaraMQ for RabbitMQ supports security features such as storage encryption and transmission encryption to provide comprehensive security protection for your data in Alibaba Cloud and meet your requirements on data security and regulatory compliance.

Storage encryption

Limits

  • The storage encryption feature is available only in the following regions: China (Hangzhou), China (Shanghai), China (Beijing), China (Zhangjiakou), China (Shenzhen), China (Guangzhou), China (Hong Kong), India (Mumbai), Singapore, Philippines (Manila), and Thailand (Bangkok).

  • The storage encryption feature is supported only by ApsaraMQ for RabbitMQ Enterprise Platinum Edition instances.

Feature description

ApsaraMQ for RabbitMQ provides the storage encryption feature to ensure the security of all data and metadata stored on ApsaraMQ for RabbitMQ brokers.

By default, ApsaraMQ for RabbitMQ uses the industry-standard AES-256 algorithm and Key Management Service (KMS) to encrypt storage. The storage encryption feature is free of charge.

Transmission encryption

Limits

The transmission encryption feature is supported only by ApsaraMQ for RabbitMQ Serverless Edition, Enterprise Edition, and Enterprise Platinum Edition instances.

Feature description

ApsaraMQ for RabbitMQ allows you to use Transport Layer Security (TLS) v1.2 to authenticate brokers on clients. This ensures secure data transmission between brokers and clients.
