You can use resources that are billed based on the subscription billing method only after you purchase the resources. This billing method is suitable for stable and long-term business scenarios. Before you use the subscription billing method, you must estimate the number of resources required for your business. You can subscribe to the required resources for one or more months. You must pay the subscription fees in a one-off manner. After you place an order and complete the payment, the system allocates resources to your account. If you do not renew a resource after the resource expires, the resource is reclaimed by the system.
Billing formulas
When you purchase a subscription ApsaraMQ for Confluent instance, you must specify the edition and disk capacity of the instance. The billing starts immediately after the order is placed. The fees vary based on the edition of the ApsaraMQ for Confluent instance.
Computing resources: the resources used by brokers to read data or used by ksqlDB to create jobs. Computing resources are measured by compute unit (CU). Computing fees are calculated by using the following formula: Computing fees = Number of computing resources × Price of ApsaraMQ for Confluent of the purchased edition × Number of months.
One CU represents a computing resource with 1 CPU core and 4 GB of memory.
Storage resources: the resources used to store data of management components and brokers. By default, each broker requires a minimum of 1,000 GB of storage space. Storage fees are calculated by using the following formula: Storage fees = Storage size × Storage unit price × Number of months.

Impacts of overdue payments
If the ApsaraMQ for Confluent instance that you purchased expires, the instance is immediately stopped and you cannot use it until you renew it.
If you do not renew the ApsaraMQ for Confluent instance within 168 hours after the instance expires, the instance is released and data in the instance cannot be restored.
