This topic describes how to start, pause, and restore a data migration task.
Start a data migration task
If you have configured a data migration task but did not start it after the precheck was passed, you can find the task in the list of migration tasks and start it.
Log on to the ApsaraDB for OceanBase console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Data Transmission > Data Migration.
On the Data Migration page, find the target task and click Start.
You can also click the task name on the Data Migration page to go to the details page, and click Start in the upper-right corner.
Pause a data migration task
You can pause a data migration task in the Running state. After a data migration task is paused, the data transmission service pauses the running subtasks in the orchestration task list and stops scheduling all subsequent subtasks.
Log on to the ApsaraDB for OceanBase console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Data Transmission > Data Migration.
On the Data Migration page, find the target running task and click Stop.
You can also click the task name on the Data Migration page to go to the details page, and click Stop in the upper-right corner.
In the dialog box that appears, click OK.
ImportantThis operation will pause the real-time synchronization component, full verification component (if any), and full migration component (if any). The task cannot be restored after it has been paused for more than 12 hours.
Restore a data migration task
You can restore a data migration task in the Paused or Failed state. The data transmission service runs the pending subtasks in the orchestration task list in sequence.

In the left-side navigation pane, choose Data Transmission > Data Migration.
On the Data Migration page, find the target task and click Restore.
You can also click the task name on the Data Migration page to go to the details page, and click Restore in the upper-right corner.
