    ApsaraVideo MediaBox SDK costs include SDK license fees and cloud service resource fees. This topic covers these billable items and explains how to purchase the necessary licenses.

    Billing components

    ApsaraVideo MediaBox SDK billing includes two components:

    • SDK license: To use the SDK, you must have a license, which is offered as an annual subscription. For example, you need an annual license for the Short Video SDK.

    • Cloud service resources: You are also charged for the cloud service resources your application uses, based on the pricing of the respective cloud products. For example, if you use ApsaraVideo Live features with ApsaraVideo MediaBox SDK, you are charged for the ApsaraVideo Live resources that you consume. ApsaraVideo Live supports both pay-as-you-go and subscription resource plans.

    SDK license fees

    ApsaraVideo MediaBox SDK is licensed by feature module. The price of a license varies by the module's edition and supported features. Some modules require separate licenses for different platforms. You can create an application and select the modules and editions that meet your business requirements.

    You can log on to the ApsaraVideo Live or ApsaraVideo VOD console to apply for a 30-day trial license for integration testing. After the trial license expires, you must purchase an official license.

    How to purchase

    Player SDK

    Standard Edition

    Purchase any ApsaraVideo Live resource plan or ApsaraVideo VOD resource plan to receive a complimentary one-year license for the Player SDK.

    Note

    This edition includes ticket-based support but excludes expert services such as dedicated technical support.

    In the console, go to SDK Management > My Licenses to create an application and bind the license.

    Advanced adaptive bitrate streaming (ABR)

    Combine ApsaraVideo Live with ApsaraVideo MediaBox SDK features, such as live stream ingest, co-streaming, instant messaging (IM), and playback, to ingest live streams to the cloud for processing and delivery, enabling interactive live streaming rooms.

    ApsaraVideo VOD

    Combine ApsaraVideo VOD with ApsaraVideo MediaBox SDK features, such as short video creation and playback, to upload videos to the cloud for storage, processing, and accelerated delivery.
