If the specification of your dedicated instance exceeds or cannot meet your business needs, you can downgrade or upgrade the specification. The new specification immediately takes effect.
Usage notes
You can change the specification only for an instance that is running.
If you upgrade the specification of a subscription instance, you must pay the price difference between the existing specification and the new specification. If you downgrade the specification of a subscription instance, you will be refunded the price difference by using the original payment method. Redeemed vouchers are not returned.
The new specification takes effect immediately after the specification change is complete.
The specification change takes about 5 to 10 minutes to complete. During the specification change, APIs that are running on the instance can still be called.
Procedure
Log on to the API Gateway console.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Instances. On the Instances tab, find the instance whose specification you want to change and click Upgrade or Downgrade based on your business requirements.
3. On the page that appears, select the target specification from the Specifications drop-down list.
4. Select the I have read and agree API Gateway Terms of Service check box and click Buy Now.
The Waiting for Traffic Switchover state
If the outbound public IP address or the outbound internal IP address of your dedicated instance changes during the specification change, the specification change is suspended, and the instance enters the Waiting for Traffic Switchover state.
If you do not have a whitelist configured for outbound IP addresses of the instance, click Switch Traffic to complete the specification change.
If you have a whitelist configured for outbound IP addresses of the instance, add the new IP address to the whitelist and click Switch Traffic to complete the specification change.
If you do not perform traffic switchover within 24 hours, the specification change is cancelled, and the old specification is used for the instance.
On the Instances page, you can view the outbound IP addresses of the instance, including the new IP address.
