You can install, upgrade, and uninstall the APIG Controller component for ACK managed clusters in the console. You must install this component before you can use an APIG Ingress.
Install the APIG Controller
APIG Ingress is an upgraded version of MSE Ingress. In regions that support both APIG Ingress and MSE Ingress, the ACK console displays only APIG Ingress options. This does not affect existing MSE Ingress users. You can continue to create and manage MSE Ingresses. To use MSE Ingress, submit a ticket to contact the APIG team.
Method 1: Install during cluster creation
For an ACK managed cluster: In the Ingress settings of the component configuration step, select APIG Ingress. For more information about creating clusters, see Create an ACK managed cluster.
Method 2: Install from the Component Management page on an existing cluster
Log on to the ACK console. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Clusters.
On the Clusters page, click the name of the target cluster. In the navigation pane on the left, click Add-ons.
On the Add-ons page, enter
APIGin the search box. Then, on the APIG Controller card, click Install.
Method 3: Install from the Ingresses page on an existing cluster
ACK managed cluster
On the Ingress page, click Create Ingress. In the Create Ingress dialog box, set Gateway Type to APIG Ingress. In the prompt below Gateway Type, click Install.
Log on to the ACK console. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Clusters.
On the Clusters page, click the name of the target cluster. In the navigation pane on the left, choose .
Upgrade the APIG Controller component
Log on to the ACK console. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Clusters.
Click Add-ons. Then, click the Networking tab. Find the APIG Controller card and click Upgrade.
If the Upgrade button is not available on the APIG Controller card, the component is already up to date.
In the Upgrade dialog box, click OK.
Uninstall the APIG Controller component
On the Clusters page, click the name of the target cluster. In the navigation pane on the left, click Add-ons.
Log on to the ACK console. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Clusters.
Click Add-ons. Then, click the Networking tab. In the lower-right corner of the APIG Controller card, click Uninstall.
In the Uninstall dialog box, click OK.
