API Gateway:Change domain protocol and certificate

Last Updated:Jun 17, 2026

You may need to change the protocol and certificate of a domain name when an SSL certificate expires, domain name ownership changes, or you want to upgrade from HTTP to HTTPS. Updating the protocol and certificate helps ensure website security and compliance.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the AI Gateway console.

  2. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Domain Name. In the top menu bar, select a region.

  3. On the Domain Name page, click the domain name you want to change.

  4. On the domain name details page, click Edit.

    • Change the protocol: Select a protocol from the drop-down list to the right of Domain Name and click OK.

      Note

Cloud-native API Gateway currently supports the HTTP and HTTPS protocols. The HTTPS protocol requires an SSL certificate. The supported port depends on the protocol:

      • HTTP: Uses port 80.

      • HTTPS: Uses port 443.

    • Change the certificate: Select a certificate from the drop-down list to the right of Certificate and click OK.
