Upgrade Anti-DDoS Native to Anti-DDoS Proxy
Anti-DDoS Proxy uses scrubbing-center-based traffic redirection to provide higher mitigation capacity and application-layer (Layer 7) attack defense. If your Anti-DDoS Native instance cannot keep up with the attacks your assets face, upgrade to Anti-DDoS Proxy.
When to upgrade
Upgrade if your assets face any of the following:

Persistent volumetric DDoS attacks — sustained large-scale traffic floods that exceed Anti-DDoS Native's baseline protection

HTTP flood attacks — application-layer attacks that Anti-DDoS Native cannot mitigate

Other protection gaps — scenarios where Anti-DDoS Native's architecture does not meet your business requirements

Upgrade procedure
Step 1: Request an upgrade evaluation
Contact Alibaba Cloud technical support to evaluate your business scenario and confirm that your situation meets the upgrade conditions.
Step 2: Receive your refund
If the upgrade conditions are met, Alibaba Cloud refunds the remaining subscription period of your Anti-DDoS Native instance. The refund amount is calculated based on the instance specifications and remaining subscription period.
Step 3: Purchase an Anti-DDoS Proxy instance
Purchase an Anti-DDoS Proxy instance that matches your traffic volume and protection requirements.
Step 4: Add your services
Add your assets to the Anti-DDoS Proxy instance for protection:
