AnalyticDB for PostgreSQL:Update the minor version of an instance

Precautions

When you update the minor version of an instance, the instance restarts and becomes temporarily unavailable. We recommend that you update the minor version during off-peak hours.

Procedure

1. Log on to the AnalyticDB for PostgreSQL console.
2. In the upper-left corner of the console, select a region.
3. Find the instance that you want to manage and click the instance ID.

4. In the Basic Information section of the Basic Information page, click Update Minor Version next to Minor Version.

   Note

   If your instance runs the latest minor version, This is already the latest version instead of Update Minor Version is displayed next to Minor Version.

5. In the Update Minor Version dialog box, select your desired version.

   You can choose to update your instance to the recommended version or the latest version based on your business requirements.

   • Recommended Version: the latest minor version that runs normally.

   • Latest Version: the latest minor version.

6. Click OK.

7. If your mobile phone number is bound to your Alibaba Cloud account, provide the verification code that you received from your mobile phone.

8. After you complete the preceding steps, check the status of the instance. If the update is complete, the instance enters the Running state. If the instance is still being updated, the instance remains in the Updating Version state.

   Note

   Minor version updates require 3 to 15 minutes to complete. During this process, instances are temporarily unavailable. We recommend that you update the minor version during off-peak hours. After an update is complete, your instance enters the Running state. You can connect to your databases normally.
