AI-Native Database Service integrates an enterprise-grade Dify platform that supports one-click deployment and allows you to build AI Agent applications through low-code visual orchestration. This topic describes how to create a Dify instance and build your first AI Agent application.
Prerequisites
-
An Alibaba Cloud account is created and identity verification is complete.
-
If you use a RAM user, the RAM user has permissions to access DMS and related cloud resources.
Limits
Dify is available in the following regions: China (Hangzhou), China (Shanghai), China (Beijing), China (Zhangjiakou), China (Ulanqab), China (Shenzhen), China (Hong Kong), Singapore, Indonesia (Jakarta), Japan (Tokyo), and US (Virginia).
Procedure
Step 1: Go to the Agent Developer Platform
-
Log on to the AI-Native Database Service console.
-
In the left-side navigation pane, in the Agent Developer Platform section, click Custom Development.
-
Make sure the Dify tab is selected at the top of the page, and then select a region.
Step 2: Create a Dify instance
-
Click the Create Dify Instance card.
-
On the deployment page, configure the instance parameters. If you do not have existing database resources, the system can purchase all the underlying resources that Dify requires in one click, including the metadata database, Redis, and vector database.
-
Confirm the configuration and click Create. Instance creation typically takes 5 to 10 minutes.
Step 3: Open Dify and create an application
-
After the instance is created, click the instance card to open the Dify console.
-
In Dify Studio, click Create Blank App and select an application type, such as Chatbot, Agent, or Workflow.
-
Configure a model such as the Qwen series, write a system prompt, and use visual orchestration to add tools and knowledge bases.
-
Test the application in the preview area on the right side.
Step 4: Publish the application
After the test is successful, click Publish. Dify supports multiple publishing methods, including website embedding, API calls, and standalone web applications.
