AI DeepSign:CreateC2paSignTask

Last Updated:Sep 07, 2026

Creates a C2PA trusted signing task for a single JPEG, PNG, or MP4 file. In addition to integrity verification, the signing certificate chain can be validated against the C2PA official trust list.

Operation description

Signing types

  • Basic signing: Signs content with a platform-owned certificate and supports content integrity verification.

  • Trusted signing: In addition to integrity verification, the signing certificate chain can be validated against the C2PA official trust list.

This operation provides trusted signing. To perform basic signing on an image, call SignUserImage.

Request description

  • This operation adds a C2PA trusted signature to a specified single JPEG/JPG, PNG, or MP4 file and generates Content Credentials.

  • A successful creation only indicates that the request has been accepted, not that the file has been signed. Save the returned TaskId and call GetC2paSignResult to query the final result.

  • FileUrl must be an absolute HTTP or HTTPS address accessible by the service and must not contain a URL user info component.

  • Query parameters in the URL do not affect file name recognition. For example, https://example.com/media/demo.mp4?token=xxx is recognized as demo.mp4.

  • The service does not follow HTTP 3xx redirects. The source address must directly return an HTTP 200 status code.

  • The maximum file size is 800 MiB. The actual limit is based on the number of bytes read, not the Content-Length in the response header.

  • The actual signable range for JPEG, PNG, and MP4 files depends on the backend configuration. Currently, files up to 800 MiB are supported.

  • Business parameters are passed through URL query parameters. POP supports both GET and POST methods, but the generated Go client uses the GET method.

  • After a task is successfully created, the file download, staging, or signing process may still fail asynchronously. Retrieve detailed error information by calling GetC2paSignResult.

RAM authorization

The table below describes the authorization required to call this API. You can define it in a Resource Access Management (RAM) policy. The table's columns are detailed below:

  • Action: The actions can be used in the Action element of RAM permission policy statements to grant permissions to perform the operation.

  • API: The API that you can call to perform the action.

  • Access level: The predefined level of access granted for each API. Valid values: create, list, get, update, and delete.

  • Resource type: The type of the resource that supports authorization to perform the action. It indicates if the action supports resource-level permission. The specified resource must be compatible with the action. Otherwise, the policy will be ineffective.

    • For APIs with resource-level permissions, required resource types are marked with an asterisk (*). Specify the corresponding Alibaba Cloud Resource Name (ARN) in the Resource element of the policy.

    • For APIs without resource-level permissions, it is shown as All Resources. Use an asterisk (*) in the Resource element of the policy.

  • Condition key: The condition keys defined by the service. The key allows for granular control, applying to either actions alone or actions associated with specific resources. In addition to service-specific condition keys, Alibaba Cloud provides a set of common condition keys applicable across all RAM-supported services.

  • Dependent action: The dependent actions required to run the action. To complete the action, the RAM user or the RAM role must have the permissions to perform all dependent actions.
