AgentCore starts billing at 00:00:00 on September 18, 2026 (UTC+8). New and existing users must complete service activation in the console before they continue to use AgentCore. Activation itself incurs no fees. Your existing Agent assets and configurations remain available as-is after activation.

Why manual activation is required
AgentCore is an independent cloud service product, and the billing relationship must be confirmed by the account owner. Activation does not involve data migration or asset reconstruction.
How to activate
Log on to the AgentCore console. The page indicates that the current account has not activated the service.
Click Activate Now. In the confirmation dialog, review the billing method and the user agreement, and click Confirm Activation.
Follow the guidance to complete service-linked role authorization and activate the dependent cloud products.
After activation succeeds, return to the console to continue using the service.
If you use a RAM user, a permission-denied prompt may appear. Contact the root account administrator to complete authorization, and then retry.
Whether existing assets and data are affected

Behavior when not activated
Existing Agents and related assets remain available.
Agent and asset management via the console is unavailable.
If the service remains unactivated for a long time, workspaces and their resources created during the public preview will be released. The specific release time will be announced separately.
