Intelligent Advisor automatically detects and overlays risks across your cloud architecture, giving you a clear view of which resources are exposed, how they connect, and where multiple risk factors converge.
Intelligent Advisor inspects every node in the architecture topology and visualizes the inspection results. You can check the status of cloud resources by using one of the following methods: a thumbnail overview for spotting distribution patterns, a full node graph for tracing logical connections, and a layer view for examining resources by deployment tier.
Features
Thumbnail view: Survey your entire architecture at a glance. Thumbnails show the resource distribution across cloud services, making it easy to spot clusters or gaps before drilling in.
Full node graph: Trace the logical topology of your deployment. Each node represents a cloud resource; edges show the API-level connections between services. Click any node to see its status, associated risks, and the paths it participates in.
Layer view: Examine resources organized by deployment layer — from networking and compute to data and application tiers — to understand how risk propagates across infrastructure boundaries.
Risk overlay: Risk detections are automatically overlaid on the topology. Select any flagged node or connection to read the risk description and recommended mitigation steps.
Supported services
Intelligent Advisor builds the topology by analyzing API calls between cloud services. It automatically identifies 21 cloud services across the core layers of a typical multi-tier deployment:
Compute: Elastic Compute Service (ECS)
Databases: ApsaraDB RDS, PolarDB for Xscale, ApsaraDB for Redis
Networking: Server Load Balancer (SLB), Elastic IP Address (EIP), NAT Gateway, Alibaba Cloud CDN, Alibaba Cloud DNS
Messaging: ApsaraMQ
Security: Anti-DDoS, Web Application Firewall (WAF)
Support for additional services will be added in future releases.
